What Happens When You Bring a Money Mindset Workshop Into Your Online Women's Community

A recap of the live Raise Your Capacity to Receive More Money VIP Workshop I led inside Cocktails & Close, and what community hosts can expect when they offer money mindset workshops to their online memberships.

If you lead a women's community, you already know that member engagement goes far beyond comments in the membership feed. The women in your space are building businesses and navigating real internal terrain alongside the strategy. They’re dealing with the invisible stuff- self-doubt that sits underneath a confident brand, income feast and famine cycles that repeat despite solid skills, tension between wanting more and not quite feeling safe to hold it.

When you bring in the right workshop relationships deepen, members feel seen at a level that a networking call can’t produce, and your community becomes known as the kind of space where connection and transformation happens.

I recently led a live money mindset workshop called “Raise Your Capacity to Receive More Money” inside Cocktails & Close. What happened in that hour was pure magic and illustrates what a money mindset workshop can do for online communities.

What the Women in Cocktails & Close Had to Say About The Workshop

"Thank you. I am at a loss for words. That was one of the best workshops I have ever attended. I don't know how you reached through the screen and got people's heartstrings like that. You are so good at holding space. The affirmations [EFT] were so spot on. I know that it hit everyone so deeply. You really hit people deeply. You’re so good at what you do. I can’t wait to do the EFT tapping again with the replay."

"The experience came at just the right time for me as we were getting ready to release the Beta version of PDRM Protect for PDRM Cyber within just a few days and I was working on updating my other offers. I was in the middle of an uplevel and this just broke through so many of the mental blocks I had within myself. It was freeing in a sense, to feel this release that it was possible, because it had almost started to feel like it wasn't prior to the session."

"I have done a few EFT sessions in my time. I don't think anything has even come close to the prompts you were giving. I will definitely be utilizing that replay."

What the Women Were Already Carrying Before We Started

The women in this room weren’t beginners. They’re coaches, social media strategists, CFOs, VAs, content creators, video and podcast producers, and business owners who’d proven they could earn a solid income through their passion. They’d done personal development work. Some had therapy, journaling practices, and courses. Several were familiar with money mindset concepts.

And still, when I asked the opening question, the room got very honest with me.

I asked: when you picture your next-level income goal, what is the first thing that comes up in your body?

The answers in the chat ranged from excitement to disbelief to pressure to something one woman described simply as feeling like she "can't really believe it." Another shared that her highest revenue month in over a year had just happened, and she was genuinely trying to let herself sit with it, while her husband was already waiting for the other shoe to drop.

The women who need this work the most are rarely the ones who have done nothing. They are the ones who have done everything and are still hitting the same ceiling.

This is what a money mindset workshop, done well, can address.

What the Workshop Covered

The workshop was built around one central framework: your Internal Thermostat for money. The idea is simple. Every person has a set point, a range of income and abundance that their nervous system has decided is normal and safe. Below it feels uncomfortable in a familiar way. Above it triggers the destabilizing zone, where self-sabotage, overspending, undercharging, and disappearing after a big win all live.

We spent the first portion of the workshop helping each woman locate her own thermostat: her current baseline, her stretch goal, and her ceiling. Then we sat with what each of those numbers felt like in the body from a somatic standpoint. My intention for this was to help her identify where she feels contraction vs. expansion in relation to her money goal.

One woman shared that her $15K month goal felt like it was for a completely different person, not her. Another said the ceiling felt so far away she couldn't reach it. One participant described sitting on the edge of her capacity most days.

The women were also invited to surface one money message from their upbringing. What they wrote reflected a wide range of backgrounds and family systems. Immigrant families where hard work was the only path. Households where the mother carried all the financial weight. Beliefs that wealthy people were not good people. The sense of coming from nowhere and therefore not being good enough.

For women in Latina and BIPOC communities specifically, money mindset work carries a palpable weight. The subconscious programming around money is cultural, generational, and systemic. A workshop that holds space for that reality, without perpetuating it, creates a different kind of permission.

When a woman realizes that the ceiling she is hitting was handed to her before she was old enough to question it, the income ceiling begins to feel like it’s possible for her to raise without the guilt and shame.

We also addressed their nervous system’s relationship with money and introduced the women to EFT tapping, Emotional Freedom Technique. EFT involves tapping on specific acupressure meridian points while moving through emotionally charged thought or beliefs. Over one hundred peer-reviewed studies confirm that it reduces cortisol, regulates the nervous system, and sends a safety signal to the amygdala, the brain's threat detection center.

What I do with EFT in a group setting isn’t a generic script. I build the language from patterns I’ve tracked across hundreds of women sitting at the edge of their income ceilings. The prompts are designed to name what she’s actually feeling in the body, and that specificity is what creates the most profound transformation.

We tapped through three rounds of clearing resistance: the fear of what more will require, the anticipation of loss, the bracing that comes up around bigger numbers. Then two rounds of installing a new identity, one where overflow is becoming expected, where the version of her that holds this level of wealth is already real.

By the final round, the numbers had shifted. Women who started the session at a 9 out of 10 on the discomfort scale around their ceiling were ending between a 2 and a 5. Several reported feeling calmer, lighter, less anxious. One said simply: I'm starting to believe I have it in me.

What the Room Looked Like From the Inside

Because this was a live virtual workshop, the chat was running throughout. What showed up there was some of the most honest real-time processing I have seen in a group setting.

Several women cried during the second round of tapping and were not embarrassed about it. One wrote "I’m crying, the second round hit hard" and was met with heart reactions from across the room and other women echoing that they had the same reaction.

One of the most significant moments came during the values elicitation portion of the session. I asked the women to name, honestly, what wealth would actually mean for them, not the altruistic answer, the goal behind the goal.

One participant realized, live in the session, that what she had always called a desire for freedom was more accurately a desire for independence. The specific kind that lets you buy what you want, when you want it, without asking anyone for permission. She had been unconsciously waiting for a more justifiable reason to want more money. The session gave her permission to want it for the reason she actually had.

That kind of real-time identity shift is what engaged members talk about long after a workshop ends. And it is what gets them to show up again.

Why a Money Mindset Workshop Performs Well Inside a Community Context

A lot of money mindset content is consumed alone- a podcast episode, a book, a solo journaling session. That solitary format has its place. But it also has a ceiling, because the nervous system regulates in community as well. Being witnessed in the moment of release, having other women respond with recognition rather than judgment, and experiencing a collective shift together, these are things that only happen in a room.

When members experience a meaningful shift together, it creates a shared reference point. They come back to calls with more openness. They’re more likely to be vulnerable with each other, which deepens the relationships that make a community worth staying in. Engagement goes up because the community has become associated with tangible  change they experienced in real-time.

For hosts of women's communities, and particularly for hosts of Latina and BIPOC women's communities, there’s an additional layer worth mentioning- the money beliefs that many of these women are carrying weren’t formed in a vacuum. They come from watching immigrant parents work multiple jobs and still not feeling safe. From being the first in their family to earn at a certain level and not having a single person in their immediate world who could help them feel normal about it. From cultural messages about what wealthy people are like and whether a woman like them belongs in that category.

A workshop that is designed to address subconscious and somatic patterning, and that does so with cultural humility and without bypassing the real-world context these women are navigating, meets them in a way that most personal development content doesn’t. The specificity of the EFT language I use is built to name the actual experience, not a generalized version of it. That’s what created the response I saw in that room.

What to Expect If You Bring This Money Mindset Workshop to Your Community

The workshop is designed to work in a single session, typically 60 to 90 minutes, and can be adapted for both live and virtual formats. It requires no prior knowledge of EFT or any other modality from participants. Women who’ve never tapped before leave feeling the shift.

The format moves through four phases. We begin with a diagnostic opening that meets women where they are right now in their relationship with money. We move into the Internal Thermostat framework, which gives the entire room a shared language for talking about their capacity for having money. We then move into the EFT session itself, which is where the practical tool they can experience and continue to use beyond the workshop. We close with an integration moment that helps women name what moved and what they are taking with them. The workshop is highly interactive from beginning to end, meaning this isn’t the type of workshop where attendees only listen and take notes, I walk attendees through live journaling and the live EFT so they walk away with a tangible breakthrough.

What I consistently see in the closing minutes of these workshops is a room that has more capacity than it arrived with.

Members leave with a lived experience of this work, which means they’re not evaluating it intellectually, they felt it. That’s a different experience and it translates directly into the kind of member experience that gets talked about outside the community walls.
